HOW TO ORGANIZE THE MONITORING AND THE TUTORING Training unit 8.2 How to monitor the training

How to organize the monitoring and the tutoring The monitoring of the overall project The monitoring of the overall project analyses the development and the realization of all the phases in which the intervention is structured: the construction of the organizational and communicative mechanisms of the network; the approach to the territory with the announcement of selection to identify the addressees; the preparation of the mobility and the formation of the trainees; the implementation of the experience abroad; the evaluation of the results; the dissemination and the optimization of the results.

How to organize the monitoring and the tutoring CONSTRUCTION OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND COMMUNICATIVE MECHANISM OF THE NETWORK The monitoring analyses, by comparison with what provided for in the financial project, the actual construction of the mechanism which enables the network to function and to communicate effectively. APPROACH TO THE TERRITORY WITH THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF SELECTION TO IDENTIFY THE ADDRESSES The monitoring analyses the components of this phase, verifying the conformity to what planned and – possibly with the help of indicators referring to the target population – it appreciates the effectiveness of the selection process.

How to organize the monitoring and the tutoring PREPARATION OF THE MOBILITY AND THE FORMATION OF THE TRAINEES In this phase the monitoring analyses the suitability of the measures adopted by the network to prepare the training. Appreciation reports and evaluation focus groups can be used to get feedback fro the participants. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EXPERIENCE ABROAD This phase concerns itself mainly with the training

How to organize the monitoring and the tutoring EVALUATION OF THE RESULTS The monitoring activity must bring to have at ones disposal the information necessary to evaluate the project on the whole, i.e. to find convincing and motivated answers to the questions that the project team and the people interested have drawn up in the monitoring plan. DISSEMINATION AND THE OPTIMIZATION OF THE RESULTS Considering the fundamental character of the activity of dissemination and optimization in a LLP project, the monitoring must consider with care the constant carrying out of the actions of spreading and appreciate the results in terms of increase of the visibility of the project and of stimulus to the transferability of the benefits.

How to organize the monitoring and the tutoring Three are the moments of the experience which are monitored: EX ANTE: at the end of the activity of preparation and formation for the training. This phase must supply specific information on the grounding of the recipient, both in cultural and in language terms. IN ITINERE: it is undoubtedly the most complex phase, that in which the monitoring must be more structured. The tool at disposal of the tutors (of the coordinating organization, of the host organization and of the firm) are various. EX POST: the phase following the training serves to consolidate the information on the achieved results.

How to organize the monitoring and the tutoring Content The overall monitoring of a transnational mobility project. The specific monitoring of a mobility project: the ex ante, in itinere and the post phases. The specific instruments to monitor the training. The monitoring indicators.
