Working to improve public education in Washington State from cradle to career with ample, equitable, and stable funding

Who We Are  LEV is a non-partisan organization that partners with parents, students, and civic leaders who believe in quality education from cradle to career.  We are the only Washington-based organization working to improve public education from early learning through higher education.  Our vision is that every student in Washington receives an excellent public education that provides opportunity for success.

Going forward  The state must fully fund teacher and administrator salaries as the first step in addressing remaining McCleary obligations.  We must expand the definition of the state’s education obligation to include the full continuum of our children’s education, early learning through two years of postsecondary  We need a broad coalition willing to engage with many stakeholders to try and affect the kind of improvements we need to fully realize our potential

Discussion questions  How can we help you achieve the vision laid out in the Compact?  How can we work with you on education funding?  What are your other pressing policy priorities going into 2015 and beyond?
