ENROLLMENT OSPI Bulletin 047-11 Students participating in Running Start programs are funded up to a combined maximum enrollment of 1.2 FTE Enrollment Verification Form needs to be submitted to Clark quarterly to indicate how much the student will be at the HS Each class taken at RHS decreases the number of college credits the state will pay for Each HS Class accounts for 0.2 FTE (including Jazz Band/Choir)

SCHEDULE RHS is your priority – your schedule is your responsibility Part-time students are expected to be on time and in full attendance (no early release or late arrival) for any RHS class Please take our Wednesday schedule into account Consider schedules conflicts, equivalency, absents No excuse to miss RHS: classes, tests, meetings, sports responsibilities, travel, etc. Make arrangements ahead of time at the college Talk to your Clark teacher on the first day of class or as soon as you find out Ultimately you are responsible for the classes you schedule and complete either at Clark or RHS

GRADES Clark College grades may cause a drop in grade point average RHS administrators and/or counselors will not intervene regarding grades granted at Clark

LETTER OF AGREEMENT May 4, 2011 Dear Students and Parents/Guardians: The Running Start Program is a partnership between Clark College and Washington public schools. The program allows high school juniors and seniors to attend Clark classes and earn college credits that apply to high school graduation requirements. The following is specific information and requirements for our Ridgefield High School students: Part-time students are expected to be on time and in full attendance (no early release or late arrival) for all RHS classes. The senior project requirement must be completed at RHS. Senior projects may not be completed independently or substituted with alternate courses. RHS opportunities are posted on the HS website. Students must be proactive in seeking high school information when they elect off campus programs. All grades on the Clark College transcripts will post to the RHS transcript which may cause a drop in grade point average. Ridgefield High School administrators and/or counselors will not intervene regarding grades granted by Clark. If a student withdraws from Clark, they most likely will not be able to add a RHS class until the next semester. The RHS counselor will provide quarterly guidance for high school graduation purpose. The Clark Running Start counselor will provide college course guidance. To meet RHS requirements students must complete the equivalency courses determined by RHS. The acceptable course equivalencies for graduation purposes are attached. Students provide transportation to Clark. We do not arrange or encourage rides with other students.
