Status of higher education in Montenegro There are only one public (state-owned) university called University of Montenegro and 2 private universities called University of Donja Gorica and University Mediterranean. Programs for establishment of QMS in enterprises (national and EU program) Another 3 IPA projects: Regional project IPA 2008 and IPA 2011 „Development of quality infrastructure in West Balkans and in Turkey“. IPA 2011 „Quality and metrology infrastructure“ is a project evaluated at EUR and refers to the aid for state government bodies in drafting harmonized legislation in the field of medicines, medical devices, as well as regulations in the field of machines, shoes, crystal glass, chemical products, etc. “BAS Program” – Business consulting program is managed by the TAM management Group, on the behalf of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Program objective Bas program represents support to micro, small and medium enterprises through business/advisory services aiming to improve their quality and competitiveness.

Most relevant certifying and training organizations in the field of QMS in the country ISO There is only one certification body in the field of QMS that is established in Montenegro. The certification body is called SETI.ME. It is founded on 2012 by the Institute for Standardization Montenegro. SETI.ME is in procedure of implementation ISO standard but it is not yet certified. Until now, SETI.ME didn’t realised any certification. ISO There is no one certifying organization that is established in Montenegro or accredited in Montenegro according to the standard MEST EN ISO/IEC Most relevant certifying organizations in the field of QMS according to the standard MEST EN ISO/IEC are from Republic of Serbia.

EN There is only one certification body in the field of QMS which is established in Montenegro. It is accredited by Montenegrin Accreditation body ATCG according to the standard MEST EN The certification body is Monteorganica. Monteorganica is a society for control and certification of organic agriculture. It is founded in the end of 2005 by the Cooperative Association of Montenegro. Analysis of courses and training in the field of QMS that was provided by training organizations There is no register of training providers in Montenegro. The Center for Quality is the most known training provider in Montenegro. The most of training providers are coming from Serbia. Source: Chamber of Economy There were some trainings in the field of Quality during last few years in Montenegro (implementation ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001,...) There were courses for internal and external auditors acoording ISO There also were many informative courses about quality. Center for Quality organised : 6 School of quality (Quality Manager) (20 participants per school) 4 School of quality (Manager of Environmental Management System) (20 participants per school)

Studies carried out in Montenegro through many MA, graduate and PhD thesis, as well as a series of seminar, scientific and professional papers have shown that situation in Montenegro corresponds to the mentioned in 90%.
