“how to make a flyer that sells”

Mail it, hand it out, hang it up, leave it wherever prospects congregate—a flyer, printed on one side of a letter-sized sheet, is among the least expensive, easiest to produce, and hardest working marketing tools.

Some tips for making a flyer That will get remembered

Write a snappy headline or title Make it memorable, unusual or provocative using a few carefully chosen powerful words. Popular titles contain one or more of these words: Easy, The Secrets to, Unlock, Finally, Insider, Time Sensitive, How to, Free Bonuses, Now You Can, Discover, Proven.

Use photographs to tell your story Show the benefit or the result of using your product or service in a photograph.

Use colorful or striking graphics One large image will have more impact than many smaller images. A stunning photo or illustration grabs attention, creates a mood, and supports your story. This image is your "focal point" and will draw your readers in.

Illustration is more than ornamentation. At a minimum, a picture or graphic image should grab attention and draw your reader into the message. At its best, it will express something words can’t.

Use a delicate hand People new to design tend to make text and graphics too big and/or too bold. Keep your layout simple. Limit yourself to two typefaces to minimize the visual confusion. Use illustrations that build on your message.

Organize your page with boxes and borders You can include several different levels of information on a single page by enclosing separate material in a box or border.

Establish a center of attention Decide which idea or image is most important on the page and make it the single most dominant visual element by playing up its size, position, or density.

Do not be afraid to get creative when you design your flyers. Imagination and creativity can make your flyers more attractive and aesthetically pleasing. Be Imaginative

Avoid common errors Don’t use too many fonts. Use no more than two different fonts on your flyers. Use one font for your headings and one for your smaller text. Do not use any more than that. Don’t use strange looking fonts. Many businesses try to get fancy when it comes to the fonts they use on their flyers. Instead, use simple fonts that are easy to read. It helps get your message out there better. Use the white space. White space is not your enemy. It helps to make your flyer more readable and easy to look at. Don’t Put content too close to the edge of the flyer. Be careful to avoid putting images or words too close to the side of your flyers. Anything there will be difficult for the customer to read and may be overlooked entirely.

A common mistake is to put too much information on a poster putting people off from ever reading it in the first place

Make your points easily identifiable Highlight titles and subtitles in bold, but avoid using ALL CAPS because they are more difficult to read.

Supply your own artwork

Don't forget to proofread Have someone else proofread your work. Check your contact information. Dial the phone numbers on the flyer to make sure they are correct, and type in the URL of your website to make sure it is correct, too.
