What is ENERGY STAR? A government-backed program that helps businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency. ENERGY STAR qualified products meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by: –The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) –The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Through partnerships with manufacturers and utilities, ENERGY STAR delivers information to help consumers choose energy-efficient products and services. Available Product Rebates Rebates are generally directed at the end-user (kitchen operator) after installation. Many utilities offer rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified CFS equipment. Some of these utilities include*: –Pacific Gas and Electric (CA) –Southern California Edison –San Diego Gas and Electric (CA) –Southern California Gas Company –GasNetworks (MA) –CenterPoint Energy/Minnegasco (MN) –Arizona Public Service *As of January

ENERGY STAR is: Developing on-line tools to increase awareness of and access to existing utility rebates. Fostering greater cooperation and coordination between utilities and manufacturers.
