Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson (June August ) was an American actress, model and singer who become a major sex symbol during the 1950s and early 1960s.

The reason why Marilyn Monroe is my chosen significant person is because not only was she brought up in foster homes (a place where some people believe there's no light at the end of the tunnel/hope) but she didn’t let that stop her and so she than became an early life model followed by a life on film.

In my eyes she has significance in so many different ways, her humour in her time, her beauty...her talents. But her beauty is my inspiration, no doubt. Especially for the girls of our time; inspiring models and picture lovers.
