Organization Tip Being organized does not mean being a total neat freak. It means spending less time going crazy and more time having fun.

How to Handle a Locker Shocker Locker Shelves Magnetic hooks Magnetic file pockets Plastic stacking drawers

Backpacks and Binders 1.Each day before you start your homework, take everything out of your backpack. Sort, trash, put things where they belong. 2.Each week clean out your locker. 3.Check school supplies at home. 4.Every couple of weeks, go through your binder. Throw away anything you know you don’t need. If your not sure what to do with some of your papers, ask a teacher or other family adult for advice.

Reasons to Use Your Agenda Book 1.It keeps all of your important information in one place. 2.Reminds you of what you need to do and when. 3.Helps you keep track of important projects. 4.Helps you reach your goals. 5.Frees up valuable space in your brain.

Agenda Tips and Tricks 1.Personalize your planner meaning develop your own style for writing things down and keeping track of important dates and assignments. 2.Mark really important events and due dates with a highlighter or stickers. 3.Use highlighters or colored pencils for different subjects or types of activities. 4.Check your planner first thing in the morning and last thing every night after homework.

Ten Terrible Excuses for Not Doing Your Homework 1.I don’t feel like it. 9. Nobody reminded me. 2.No time. 10. My dog, cat, horse, pig, etc. ate it. 3.Homework? What homework? 4.I left it at school, on the bus, in the gym…. 5.I have to watch my favorite TV show. 6.I didn’t write down the assignment. 7.Homework is really, really, really, really BOR-ing. 8.I have better things to do.
