IT is the area of managing technology and spans wide variety of areas that include but are not limited to things such as processes, computer software, information systems, computer hardware, programming languages, and data constructs.computer softwareinformation systemsprogramming languages In short, anything that renders data, information or perceived knowledge in any visual format whatsoever, via any multimedia distribution mechanism, is considered part of the domain space known as IT. 3

4  Large number of disparate information management systems.  Little integration or coordination between information systems.  Range of legacy systems requiring upgrading or replacement.  Direct competition between information management systems.  No clear strategic direction for the overall technology environment.  Limited and patchy adoption of existing information systems by staff.  Poor quality of information, including lack of consistency, duplication, and out-of-date information.  Little recognition and support of information management by senior management.  Limited resources for deploying, managing or improving information systems.  Lack of enterprise-wide definitions for information types and values (no corporate-wide taxonomy).  Large number of diverse business needs and issues to be addressed.  Lack of clarity around broader organizational strategies and directions.  Difficulties in changing working practices and processes of staff.  Internal politics impacting on the ability to coordinate activities enterprise-wide.

The main goal of every business is the final result. To get profit using the tools. 5

10  Strategic management of IT refers to IT strategy, investment portfolio management of IT projects, R&D of automating business processes.  Operational management of the IT deals current IT projects, users, activities and quality management in the IT field.

Generalized structure of any IS can be represented by two interacting parts:  functional part, which includes software applications that implement the function of applied field;  system part, which provides execution of application programs. With this separation of two groups are closely related standardization issues:  standard interface between application programs with a medium of IS, API (Application Program Interface - API);  standard interface between the IP itself with the external environment for her (External Environment Interface - EEI). 15
