Imagine you said to your parents: I don’t care about you anymore Imagine you said to your parents: I don’t care about you anymore. Just give me the money you would give me when you die. I’m going off to live my own life. I’m not even waiting to say goodbye. What would their reaction be ? Know the story of the Prodigal Son (L3) Explain how the parable shows the 4 stages of Reconciliation (L4) Reflect on how sin affects our relationship with God and others (L5)

Draw a story board of the story, by scene. How is the Lost Son a good example for someone who wants to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Think of 3 ways the story would help them. **Do you agree with the older brother’s point of view? Watch the story. Scene 1: The Lost Son announces to his father what he wants. Scene 2: the Son goes off and spends the money on parties and wild living Scene 3: the Son has no money left so he accepts a job looking after pigs. Scene 4: the Son begins to feel very sorry for himself. He realises he did wrong. Scene 5: he goes back to his father. As he meets him, what does he say? Scene 6: what does the Father say to him? Scene 7 : what does the older brother think about this? Scene 8: how does the father respond to the older brother?
