It was built there so that it was convenient for everyone to get to. Also because it was on the hill, the Acropolis could be seen from every part of the city.

Dear Li Tong, As you know, I have just returned from my holiday in Athens. I was fortunate enough to stay there for a fortnight. While I was there, I really enjoyed walking around in the sunlight and beautiful weather, even though I got sunburnt. The place I enjoyed most was the Acropolis.
