Sample Schedule 9:15 Opening 9:30-11:30 Reading/Language Arts 11:30-12:30 Recess/Lunch 12:30-1:55 Math 1:55-2:40 Science/Soc.Studies/Health 2:40-3:40 Related Arts 3:45 Dismissal

Homework Math –Usually a ditto/game (will vary with teacher) –Practice math facts for 10 minutes. –Please check and go over math homework with your child EVERY NIGHT! Reading –Students should be reading every night for at least 20 minutes. Reading together is fine! The Book It Program with Pizza Hut runs from October to March –Students will receive a certificate for a free pan pizza. if they have read each night on the vocabulary homework sheet. – - 2 book reports (later in the year)

Homework Vocabulary Homework Monday: Read for at least 20 min. and complete an activity from the word study menu. Tuesday: Read for at least 20 minutes and complete one quick write. Wednesday: Same as Monday Thursday: Same as Tuesday.

Lunch and Recess Price is now $2.75 Snack is from $0.50 to $1.00 We have a limited amount of money for borrowing. Please make sure lunch boxes/bags and coats, sweater, hats, etc. are labeled! Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. We will be going out unless it is below 22 degrees!

Odds and Ends Please make sure your child has had enough sleep and a good breakfast. Snacks – at 2:00 healthy, finger food, NO NUTS!! Field Trips Toby’s on November 21 st. Another field trip in the spring TBA

Behavior Schoolwide Behavior Program –Respect everyone’s space, feelings and property –Work and play safely –Participate in learning activities by doing your best at all times –Speak appropriately –Follow directions Consequences – Students may lose points Students may miss the SOAR Club Party
