Phone calls home Morning announcements to teachers and students Copy of flyers in teachers’ boxes to help promote events One-to-one communication with parents (especially during Parent Conferences or Open House Night) Invite feeder schools/neighboring schools to your event
Have materials ready for parents Translate materials as necessary Have sign-in and evaluation sheet ready Greet parents at the door (If possible, escort parents to where the refreshments are) Inform parents about other upcoming events and invite them to participate Make sure to start and end workshop on time
Always dress professionally Maintain a positive attitude Have a welcoming environment Have an open door policy with all teachers, staff, parents and students Offer to help where needed Be flexible with your time
