EARTH By: Madi and Georgia

Size The Earth has a core, a mantle, and a crust. The core is 4,300 miles, and 6,900 kilometers. The mantle is 1,800 miles, and 2,900 kilometers. The crust is 19 miles, and 31 kilometers.

Shape The Earth has a round surface like a sphere.

Location The Earth is located in the Milky Way Galaxy and it is 93,000,000 miles away from the sun.

Composition The Earth has three layers. A core, a mantle, and the crust. The core is the middle of the planet, the mantle is outside of the core, and the crust is the outer layer.

Ability to Support Life Earth is the only planet in the whole solar system that has life. Life is possible on Earth because there is oxygen on Earth.

Ability to support Light Earth gets its light from the Sun, and the Sun makes day and night.

Three Additional Facts The average temperature on Earth is about 59°. The Earth is about 4.6 billion years old. Earths axis does not run up and down straightly.
