The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) measures faculty expectations for student engagement in educational practices that are known to be empirically linked with high levels of learning and development. The first national administration of FSSE, including FAU, was conducted in The FSSE was designed to parallel the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) FAU last administered the NSSE in 2001

132 four-year colleges and universities participated in FSSE in FAU faculty members were surveyed, 265 responded (33% response rate) The average institutional response rate was 46%
