Decide on:  Order you will present main topics  Chronological order?  Importance order?a  Suptopic points on each slide  What kind of bullet points?  Complete sentences not necessary  Think of audience: for peers? Younger kids?

Research what Typical Day is like  Working hours  Lunch  Time at desk  Time out or inside  Clothing worn  Duties  Pace of day

Airplane Crash  Don’t go overboard with Animations hook

Images: where to find them?  Clip art  Microsoft clip art and images: Online  Google Advanced Image Search  Creative Commons: image search  Can’t use pictures from flickr!(can’t right click)  Save often!!!

Use borders for pictures

Music:  Need to insert audio  Using own?  Put blank slide before the title page so music will start on title page!  Own CD?: Must do the following: Bring own 30 second clip already trimmed. What to use? Audacity, garage band, imovie

Timings  Rehearse Timings  Read slide aloud to give enough time for younger kids to read the slide before it transitions  Set timings and adjust slide by slide  Match music with transitions
