  Students will discuss “Walden” annotations & discuss Thoreau’s inclusion of transcendental style & development of theme  Standards: Cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.  & Determine a theme or central idea of a text and analyze its development over the course of the text. Target:

  We’ll share homework annotations.  We’ll review how to write a theme paragraph.  You’ll write a theme paragraph with quotes.  You’ll peer review & revise (&turn it in) /20.  Homework : Read “Nature” by Emerson. Annotate each paragraph for transcendental style. Write a theme statement. Will be checked. Agenda:
