The Myth Dionysus born to Zeus and the mortal Semele. Semele dies before Dionysus is born. Hermes ties unborn baby to Zeus’s thigh. Zeus’s jealous wife Hera is a threat to kill baby. Hermes delivers baby to mountain top (Nysa.)
