Draw a picture & write a sentence about your favorite day in kindergarten. Write a sentence about a movie you would like to see this summer.

If you have 6 popsicles & I have 3 popsicles, how many do we have all together? Write the number sentence. Draw a picture of your family and label each person. Read a new book. Draw and write a sentence about your favorite character. Lay outside with pencil & paper. Write & draw what you see. Build something from blocks or Legos. Draw & write about what you made. Count by 1s, 5s, and 10s to 100. Read a book you love. Draw and write about the setting. Do a puzzle! Write what kind of puzzle it was and how many pieces it had. Draw and label a picture of you and your best friend. Make a visit to the library and pick out a new book. Read a book to an animal – real or stuffed! Write a letter or postcard to your old teacher. Balance on one foot for ten seconds then switch feet. Practice your sight words. Rainbow write 5 words. How many things in your house are square? How many are circles? Read a story with someone. Take turns retelling the story. Play a board game. Practice making tally marks for numbers 1-30.

Ask a grown up for some coins & sort them. How many of each coin do you have? With a grown up, practice saying your address. For a challenge, write it! Write about your favorite toy. Jump up and down for one minute. Count your jumps. How many jumps did you do? Count all the utensils in your house. How many spoons, forks, & knives do you have? Read a book and list the characters. Draw your favorite character. Make a list of things you like to do in the summer. Imagine you have 1 nickel & 4 pennies. How much money do you have? Draw a picture of what you see out your bedroom window. Review your sight word list. If I have 7 stickers and I give you 4, how many do I have left? Write the number sentence. Get ready for the ice cream social! Have fun in first grade!
