Location, Location, Location Located in Egypt, outside modern day Cairo. Construction started in 2584 BC The Pyramids have been remarkably well preserved, the only things missing are the stones originally covering the sandstone you see now, stripped away because they were valuable. Except Kahfre’s. It still has some limestone at the top.

Look They’re Just So Pretty Oh hey did you know that the pyramid farthest away is actually the tallest? The one in the middle is just built on higher ground. (The tallest one is the Great Pyramid, Built by Khufu. The one on the right)

UNIQUENESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS The Pyramids at Giza are very very big and built by hand, and have lasted a LOT longer than other remarkable monuments. Modern Historians estimate it took less than 23 years to build the Great Pyramid and about 30,000 men to do it.

Building Techniques Men would drag pre-cut blocks up a ramp to wherever top of the pyramid was at that time, and the ramp would be heightened and lengthened as the pyramid grew.  Like so.
