Reasons for the Change
Formation of Company CM Punjab envisaged establishment of a company on the basis of Turkish model. LWMC established on March 19, 2010 under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984.
Signing of the Services and Asset Management Agreement Services And Asset Management Agreement (SAAMA) signed on June 25, 2011 Assets, resources and functions were transferred to LWMC Residual functions like; Enforcement, regulation and levy of tax
Strategic Direction of LWMC
Agreement with M/s. ISTAC Agreement signed on 27th December 2010 for technical support; Waste characterization study Capacity building of professionals Identification and designing of integrated waste disposal facility Designing of new waste management system
Design of New System Turkish experts of ISTAC identified the gaps in the existing system New system was designed to outsource SWM services to international companies

Turkish Companies The contract was signed on 3rd November, 2011 for a duration of 07 years with two Turkish companies namely; M/s Al-Bayark in Zone I. M/s OzPak in Zone II.
