SAVE THE WATER!

THOUGHTS OF CHILDREN: why water is important? Andrea: Without water, humans, animals and plants could not live. Even for the man water is a fundamental element present in each stage of its life. Gabriele: We need water, both in our daily lives, because we need to drink, to cook, to wash, both in moments of leisure or vacation eg when we go to sea, lakes, rivers or streams. Lisa: In European countries, water is abundant but in other countries such as Africa and Asia 's but she is a valuable asset. Micaela: Many times the water is transported to the villages by rivers or sources far away and are often children who are dealing with this. Debora: The rainy season is awaited with great trepidation, because this depends on the crop. The rainy season leaves behind fertile soil and renew the water supply. If, however, this season lasts too long the people have to deal with the floods that threaten to destroy everything.

Alessandro:. But even if water is abundant in Europe must still take care of this resource responsibly. Our greatest danger is in fact certainly the pollution of aquifers due to the presence of chemicals and fertilizers. Samuel: In the water there are fish, shellfish, algae and other marine plants edible. Also most of the salt we consume comes precisely from the sea. Carmine: The water can produce energy with hydroelectric power plants. The rivers and seas are important means of communication and transportation as well as cruise ships, ferries, sailboats that we can offer moments of relaxation and unforgettable holiday for us children. Antonio: The water we need to carry all the water sports and as a result recreational activities such as swimming, diving, to keep clean and does not pollute with waste of all kinds.

GIROTONDO WATER: Matilde: Due to the heat of the sun, the water evaporates from oceans and seas. The water vapor rises to the top and comes in the highest layers of the atmosphere, where it cools and condenses into clouds. At this point, the water falls on the earth in the form of rain, snow or hail this water refills rivers, lakes, seas and oceans. A part of rain and other precipitation is absorbed by plants and another part collects in aquifers groundwater.

But the sun never fails to heat water and let it evaporate, so the cycle begins again and continues all'infi nite. The water cycle is very important, because it allows us to always have water available, if we do not waste or contaminate

WATER IS IN DANGER: class is 5 ° The problem, unfortunately, is very simple: we use too much water and at this rate we risk remain... dry! Most of the water is used - and often wasted or soiled - for industrial uses for agricultural purposes and for breeding, and finally for civil uses (ie, in the homes of all of us). It was once thought that the water was infinite, so the men treated disrespectfully. Today we realized that not only we use more than we get from the water cycle, but especially that the contaminate, making it impossible to reuse and creating environmental damage. Here's how: the industrieusano huge amounts of water, especially to cool leapparecchiature: water served for this purpose is discharged in water courses sometimes causing alterations to the ecosystem.

Here is a list of things to do to conserve water: We replace the seals leaking taps. We wash the car with a bucket: it will be clean and will have saved. We use the washing machine and dishwasher only when they are full. Did you know that the water from the pasta you can use to wash the dishes? We install on the taps of the simple flow regulators, we save half of water. While we brush your teeth, or while dad shaves, the tap can be closed... We keep the water used for washing vegetables and let's use are, for water the plants. We use detergents carefully following the instructions on the package

PLEASE : IT’S IMPORTANT THAT WE CHILDREN SAVE THE WATER! WITHOUT WATER WE WILL DIE!!!
