4 TH GRADE MEET & GREET We are a team in your child’s education!

Freedom’s Fourth Grade Teaching Team: Mrs. Kim Crom Mrs. Kelsey Eberhart Mrs. Michelle Zilverberg We are going to have a fantastic year CREATING AWESOME! We have lots of engaging, exciting, and empowering things planned for this school year!

A LITTLE ABOUT ME  Graduated from UCCS with a Batchers in Anthropology and a Masters in Elementary Education  7 th year of teaching  5 rd year in 4 th grade  Just got married!

LEARNING IN 4 TH GRADE  Reading Reading to learn Close reading Integrating social studies into reading  Math Multi-digit multiplication and long division Fractions

PLANNERS  I will sign the planner if all assignments are written down  I ask that you sign the planner every night. This tells me you looked over your child’s homework  Notes can be written in planners

4 TH GRADE OPPORTUNITIES!  Here are some activities your student may be interested in:  Band, Choir, Orchestra  After school sports challenge  Student Council  Freedom Falcon Focus (video club)  Others to be determined!

NEW LUNCH PROCEDURES  Register online for alerts when their child's lunch account reaches a low balance. In order to register online, parent or guardian will need student's birthdate.  Automated "low balance calls" will be generated to 719 numbers only. Long distance families need to refer to suggestion number 1.

LUNCHES CONTINUED  Allergy forms will be available in our school office, our kitchen office and at our table for open house. Allergy form must be completed by an M.D. or D.O. Once form is submitted to school district 11 dietician for review, the family will be notified of acceptance (could take up to 2 weeks). Our cafe cannot make any special menu arrangements until the allergy form has been reviewed and accepted by our school district dietician.

BUS PASSES  If your child rides the bus pick up their pass today from the classroom teacher.  If your child rides the bus but a pass has not yet been issues, please tell your child’s teacher. Your student will get a pass on Monday morning.

FOR MONDAY Don’t forget:  Favorite book to share & one to read  Brown Bag  Healthy snack  Lunch money  Check or exact change for fourth grade fees ($12)
