Facts About Robert E. Lee  His home state was Virginia.  He served for his country for 32 years.  His birthday was January 19 th 1807.

Lincoln and Lee  Lincoln asked Lee to command the U.S. army in the Civil war.  Lee was from Virginia so it was hard to choose.  So Lee turned him down.

The Battle of Antietam  The Battle of Antietam was very bloody.  Lee was defeated against three quarters of the union’s army.
