Virginia legislation 2010: Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority Coordinates data-gathering, supply chain, works with local governments 2011: Joint Resolution supporting 3000 MW of offshore wind by 2025 Aspirational only, no carrots and no sticks Also roots for a National Offshore Wind Technology Center to be located here

What is the Sierra Club doing? We advocate: a real RPS including externalities in the IRP process continuing funding for VCERC incentives for offshore wind investment and turbine manufacturing removing the $45 million of coal subsidies
