Renewable Ressources in Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania

Content  1. What forms of generating energy do we use? : Water energy Geothermal energy Bioenergy Wind energy Solar energy  2. Shares of electricity consumption  3. Sources

What forms of generating energy do we use?  Water energy  Geothermal energy  Bioenergy  Wind energy  Solar energy

Water energy  Mecklenburg Western Pomerania uses hardly any water energy  not good conditions for hydropower plants  Goals: the replacement, the modernization or the rehabilitation of existing facilities

Geothermal energy  geological conditions provide a good foundation  Mecklenburg Western Pomerania has 3 geothermal plants  Goals: Increasing the use of geothermal energy

Bioenergy  covers about 18% of the energy consumption  16% of the arable land is used  about one third can be used  Goals: expansion of bioenergy on up to 24% formation and crosslinking of bioenergy regions

Wind energy  covers about 34% of electricity needs  first offshore wind turbine at Rostock  Goals: Doubling the performance until 2020 construction of wind parks in coastal waters

Solar energy  Mecklenburg Western Pomerania has good conditions for solar energy  covers about 3% of the energy consumption  existing systems are not exhausted  Goals: Increasing the use of solar energy

Shares of electricity consumption
