Geography/Seasons South Africa’s coastline stretches 2,500 km from the desert border with Namibia. The low-lying coastal zone is narrow for much of that distance, soon giving way to a mountainous escarpment. Major Cities Durban is a major city in South Africa. Johannesburg is also a major city in South Africa. Skukuza is another major city in South Africa.
