This group was claimed to be ‘The Provisional Government’ Clan Na Geal was also in great support of the IRB and contacted Germany for ammunition for the rising.

(IVF) was formed in 1913 in hope to promote Home Rule and secure rights in Ireland. This organisation was run by nationalists, Eoin MacNeill established this organisation and was soon promoted as Chief-Of-Staff. MacNeill wanted peace to be kept and played no part in the violent 1916 rising and even tried to prevent it.

The Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) was formed in 1913 to try and prevent Home Rule because they wanted to remain a part of Britain. The (UVF) was somewhat enemies with (IVF) and both parties had different aims and were willing to fight to achieve their goals. The (UVF) smuggled ammunition of 25,000 rifles to Ulster. The organisation was weakened when many went to fight for Britain in World War I.
