BOARD POLICY By July 1, 2014, all Parents as Teachers affiliated program sites will comply with the National Center’s expectations for replication and model fidelity.

Model fidelity Model fidelity: providing services the way the model intends. Model fidelity = positive results (outcomes) Model fidelity: –Structural fidelity = adherence to a “package of services” –Process fidelity = interpersonal elements

Why emphasize model fidelity? Replication = consistent implementation Consistent implementation = expected outcomes Consistent implementation = strong brands.

Replication: Focus on evidence based practices Critical to replicating quality Combines good research, professional expertise and consideration of family characteristics

Beginning January 2011 Model Implementation package = $ 895 –5 days training, 2 curricula, toolkit, 1 year online access, value add –Annual renewal to online access = $75 –“Affiliate” and/or “Certified” designation –Logo(s)

What happens when you self-identify compliance? 1.All minimum requirements met 2.Minimum requirements not met, but willing to move to compliance 3.Minimum requirements not met, unable to do so (approved user)

Moving into compliance 1.Use APR to self-identify compliance 2.Access conference calls 3.Develop compliance plan 4.Achieve compliance by July 2014
