LDAP Revision WG

Agenda preliminaries (scribes, blue sheets, agenda bashing) - 5 min WG status - chairs - 5 min draft-ietf-ldapbis-protocol - Editor - 10 min draft-ietf-ldapbis-authmeth - Editor - 10 min other loose ends - Editors - 10 min milestone review - chairs - 5 min open mic - floor - remaining

Document Status Protocol – Recommended – revision needed AuthMeth – In Development Syntaxes – to be recommended LDAPprep – to be recommended? Schema – Expired, revision needed Models, Filters, DN, URL – Approved (at RFC Editor) BCP64bis – Ready for WGLC Roadmap – Ready for WGLC

LDAPprep New “insignificant character handling” approach proposed in latest revision –If Equal(X,X) == True and X’,Y’ differs by X only by addition/deletion of insignificant characters, then Equal(X,X’) MUST be True. Likewise for other kinds of rules. LDAP failures –For some X, Equal(X,X) == Undefined, namely because one cannot determine abstract value represented by a particular physical representation. E.g., normalization failure, prohibited characters, etc. –[Models] ensures that such values cannot appear in attributes.

Milestone Discussion April 05 - Deliver LDAP TS –Resolve outstanding issues by end-of-month! –Revise and WGLC/Poll as appropriate May 05 – Deliver BCP64bis –WGLC to be issued after meeting
