Knowbase Learning Services Group The Knowbase Networks learning development group has delivered customized interactive learning to more than 500,000 learners world- wide through a combination of our proprietary learning management system and our custom content development group. Our content creation team is comprised of individuals whose backgrounds include instructional design, curriculum development, organizational development, knowledge management, user-interface design, graphic design, technical/creative writing and the technical skills required to create the final learning experience. Our streamlined courseware development process ensures learning outcomes are aligned with organizational goals. The technology that we leverage enables the delivery of user-engaged learning to drive retention and comprehension of information. The content, itself, uses rich media, audio, video, animation, voice over and music (low-band versions are available for low-connectivity locations). Interactive exercises, quizzes and games and assessments to measure comprehension.

E-Learning Features Instant access to information is one of the driving factors in today's economy. The key to success is moving knowledge from the people who have it to the people who need it. It’s simple and economical, eLearning delivers more training to more people for the fewest dollars. eLearning saves time, money and resources. Reduce turnover and improve morale by developing the potential of your human capital. Self-paced learning to accommodate every learning style. It delivers measurable, tangible results. Just-in-Time Training Employees train at their own pace. Training can be taken any time, anywhere there’s an Internet connection. No more waiting for other employees to “get it”. Faster Learning Employees learn up to twice as much in half the time. Courses progress as fast as the employee can. A 4-hour in-class session can be achieved in 1 hour of online training. Message Retention Deliver a consistent message to every employee at each location – every time! Well-designed eLearning increases retention over instructor-led training by up to 40%, according to the ASTD.

E-Learning Features: Built for Learner Environments Each content module project is developed with your end users (and their hardware and software access) in mind. As such, Knowbase offers several module formats to accommodate learners with low-bandwidth processors and/or internet connections and those with high-bandwidth access. Low-bandwidth modules consist of individual presentation slides with still images accompanying on-screen text or a scrollable text area. Low-bandwidth modules may include low- or normal-quality voice over files, depending on end- user limitations. High-bandwidth modules can be highly interactive, highly animated movie-like presentations with background music, sound effects, voiceover and games; or, they can have moderate still image animations with moderate interactivity. Bookmarking functionality that will direct returning learners to the last slide viewed, can be programmed into either low- or high-bandwidth module formats. Standard module templates and fully customized user interfaces are available for either format. Knowbase will work with you to determine the appropriate module format(s) needed for the learning population.

E-Learning Features: Interactivity and Quizzing Keep learners engaged by requiring active participation in learning. Reinforce key concepts by requiring periodic recall of information. Role-based scenarios help learners apply learning concepts to real-life situations.

E-Learning Features: Compliance Tracking Track completion of learning required by organizational or agency regulations. Digitally capture and track employee agreement with organizational or agency policies. Learning module functionality can be customized to meet compliance, such as disabling “Next” navigation to require learners to view all content.

The Knowbase Approach to Learning Analyze and Define Our Client’s Current Learning Strategy Ensure strategic alignment Review and define learning curriculum Define a specific plan (from a single module to a corporate learning strategy) Create True Behavioral Change Creating behavioral change requires engaging people and consistent access to new information. Design an awareness campaign including and surveying, and highly interactive learning modules to create workforce behavioral change. Content Creation Process Defined content creation process that involves subject matter experts, identifying critical content pieces that will provide the most leverage for behavior change Develop a pilot, gather feedback, make improvements Robust and Flexible Technology The Knowbase Learning Management System (LMS) currently supports over 500,000 users Web-based – allows access from any browser Easily customizable – look and feel, integration to internal systems The Knowbase LMS includes built-in assessment and feedback mechanism to ensure continuous improvement. Measuring Success Finally, measuring the success of the training program reaches far beyond a simple “pass” or “fail” on a given test. It includes a strategic setup of assessments and surveys that captures necessary data to accurately measure the learning outcomes in relation to the organizational goals. Our experience – not only in learning and associated technologies, but with connecting learning strategies with business outcomes – enables us to help our customers attain measurable results through their training investments.
