SHAWLANDS ACADEMY Parent Teacher Council what is the PTC? … a voluntary forum of parents & teachers … advised by the Head Teacher … accountable to Parent Forum (via AGM)

SHAWLANDS ACADEMY Parent Teacher Council how does the PTC work? … works in partnership with the school – Head Teacher / Senior Management Team … meets on a monthly basis in term time and in issue-based groups (as agreed)

SHAWLANDS ACADEMY Parent Teacher Council when does the PTC meet? … meets on a monthly basis … meets in issue-based groups (as agreed) … usually meets on a Monday ( pm)

SHAWLANDS ACADEMY Parent Teacher Council what does the PTC do? … inputs parental views on existing & new policies (Learning Plan, School Uniform, Homework, CfE implementation) … raises issues of concern to parents (healthy food, school’s use as Polling Station, end-of-term arrangements etc.)
