Session 2 : Feedback on Observation and Teaching Approaches 12 th March 2009 Majda Al-liabi

 Recap (with lesson plan,….).  Effective teaching strategies. - feedback on observation and planning. - different teaching models.  Planning for a teaching observation.

 Suggested Ideal lesson plan.  School visit and feedback ( activity 1 ).

 What is the point of the school visit?  What can you take from the lesson and how can you adapt it to your teaching?  What is your advice for others who have not done their visit?

Watch video extract and in groups make notes on: - What you consider to be effective in terms of language teaching and how to highlight this for our teaching. - What does the lesson plan look like? - How would this lesson differ for primary children? - What would the plans look like?

 Inform a week in advance.  Observe for one lesson.  Prepare teaching file.  Provide table and chair in the class room.  Need 1 hour feedback.
