The diabetes foot team today 3 nurses (1 diabetic nurse, 2 orthopedic nurses) 1 orthotist 6 orthopedic surgeons Collaborate with: Vascular surgeon Epidemiologist Radiologist

Organization 3 rooms for treatment 3 hours each week 9 – 12 patients

Foot surgeon diagnose ulcers determine wound care and further treatment referring to relevant research

Nurse: Mapping the wound(s) Wound treatment (debridement) Sampling Information to the patients Convey information to the home care and nursing homes Coordinate wound care

Orthotist: find appropriate ways to relieve vulnerable pressure points adjusts the soles and orthoses
