Foreword Online learning is through the computer Internet, or through the mobile wireless network, teaching and learning in a network virtual classroom. The current online learning has not limited to this, the present have perfect online learning platform system.

Foreword With the development of the Internet, education industry in ten years ago promote remote education, through the Internet virtual classroom to realize remote video lectures, sharing electronic document, so that teachers and students on the network forms a kind of teaching and learning interaction

Foreword Online learning is also called E-Learning, and the E means : electronic, engagement, extension, extend, effective, ease of use, experience, exploration

Pros  The geographical and time: online learning community is functional without regional restrictions, its members can be any one and any place on earth if the individual learners can connect Internet.  Diversity: online learning community is diversity, these diversities can be enrich and abundance class and community, and diversity in online learning community plays an extensive role.

Pros  Flexibility: network learning community study is rich and colorful, interactive activities are flexible.  Information: in online learning community, community members can constantly through various channels to obtain external information and update community information base and database, so it keep a discussion or communication novelty and real-time.

Pros  The range and scale: the source of community members can range from international network learning community to a study group.  Participants level: network learning community of each participant may have different degree and different knowledge background, they in the community in a different place, have different kinds of learning purpose and motivation.

Pros  Cost : Save the travel, accommodation, teachers, classrooms, material and a lot of cost, this means that the same cost can learn more things. Learning at the same time can not full- time, do not affect the current work, save a lot of opportunity cost.

Cons  First, online resources complicated, especially there are many unhealthy websites, it is difficult to guarantee the students' learning from adverse resource influence.  Second, some online courses are not often teachers guide, one hundred percent rely on self-study. Without the appropriate guidance of teachers, students' failure or ineffective learning may increase.

Cons  Third, is not conducive to the emotion exchange between teachers and students.  Fourth, because the young people at the cognitive level, discrimination ability are not mature, the Internet with multiple values are often difficult to make the right choices.  Fifth, the network learning in the presence of apathy and situational variation possibilities.

Web sites

commons They are education web, and offer online teaching. They are not limited by time, 24 hours open to community members. They all have one to one teaching mode. They all have autonomy.

Web sites differences The 101 Distane education network is for junior students primary, it help students review the textbook knowledge and improve the ability to solve problems. Ef education course is suitable for the working busy white- collar gens, and it only provide English tutoring. The Xuexila Web provide learning method, and it covering a wide range, such as encourage, eloquence, reading, and etiquette.

Is Online Education right For You? 1.To me, having face-to-face contact with my instructor and other students is: A: Not very important (10%) B: Somewhat important (30%) C: Very important (60%) 2. As a student, I: A: Can do my assignments, stay focused on the course, and finish coursework ahead of time without being reminded by my instructor. (70%) B: Need help staying focused and usually complete my homework at the last minute. (20%) C:Need a lot of assistance staying focused and motivated to complete my coursework. (10%)

Is Online Education right For You? 3.Estimate your comfort level with using a computer to learn and participate in a course: A: I use a computer daily for work and other uses and am computer-literate. (70%) B: I have basic computer skills, I am sure I could figure out what I don't know with basic instruction. (20%) C: I’m not sure if my skills are up to date, and computers can frustrate me. (10%) 4.When an instructor hands out instructions for an assignment, I prefer: A: Figuring out the instructions myself. (10%) B: Trying to follow the directions on my own, then asking for help as needed. (80%) C: Having the instructions explained to me in detail(10%)

Is Online Education right For You? 5.When it comes to assessing my own progress, I: A: Think I can keep tabs on myself, even without frequent feedback from my instructor. (10%) B: Prefer to receive regular feedback from my instructor, but don't mind if I can’t. (50%) C: Need to get feedback immediately after turning in a test or assignment. I need to hear from my instructor often. (40%) 6.I am interested in enrolling in an online course because: A: I need to complete a degree to advance on the job or get a new job. (30%) B: Taking courses on campus is inconvenient. (10%) C: I have an interest in the topic—I could take the course either on campus or online. (60%)

Is Online Education right For You? 7.Considering my professional and personal schedule, the amount of time I can dedicate to an online course is: A: 10 hours per week, or more if necessary. (30%) B: 7-9 hours per week, and more if I know it ahead of time. (30%) C: 1-6 hours per week, I don’t have much more time than this. (40%) 8.My personal and professional schedule is: A: Predictable: I can generally plan, well in advance, blocks of time to devote to my course work. (30%) B: Generally predictable: Sometimes last-minute meetings or events come up that I cann't reschedule. (50%) C: Unpredictable: I am seldom sure when I’ll have free time that I can set aside for my coursework. (20%)

Is Online Education right For You? Summary: the above problems tell us, it was not in the habit of online education. We used with the teachers face-to-face learning, communication. Online education is the new education pattern may be widely used in the future study and life.
