Personnel History After passing the entrance exams on his home planet of Mandalore, Ryden Ongol was accepted to the Imperial Naval Academy on Corulag. During his time at the academy, he studied ship design and engineering and worked on several projects in conjuncture with Sienar Fleet Systems, most notably the stability control matrix for the TIE Defender prototype. After graduation, he received a commission into the Imperial Navy and was accepted into the Imperial Flight School. Excelling at advanced combat tactics and flight courses, Ongol was among the first group of commissioned pilots to receive flight ratings in the TIE Defender, having a personal knowledge of its maneuverability. His handling capabilities of the agile starfighter earned him a transfer to the 501 st ’s elite TIE Pilot Detachment, the Jolly Roger Squadron, under the direct command of Lord Vader.
