Education The main reason why I chose Finland was mainly because of the education system. “There are no mandated standardized tests in Finland, apart from one exam at the end of students’ senior year in high school. There are no rankings, no comparisons or competition between students, schools or regions. Finland’s schools are publicly funded. The people in the government agencies running them, from national officials to local authorities, are educators, not business people, military leaders or career politicians.” This form of education Has allowed Finland to be ranked 2nd in Education as of 2009 OECD Education Reports

Primary Industries Pulp and Paper Industry- Forest products were the major export industry. Pulp and Paper Industry accounted for half of Finnish exports in the 1970s. Biotechnology is regarded as one of the most promising high-tech sectors in Finland and it is growing rapidly
