Mission to Space

Day 1 Mission Bring your team together. Assign missions to accomplish Bring Materials that can be reuse… Mission in the computer lab… complete the questions about your body behavior away from Earth.

Day 2 Mission You and your team will work on the answers to your questions. Start working to analyze your needs as a human in space with the facilities and resources that you will need. (accommodations) You can start you sketch for your model and work at the same time on the written document.

About the Model 1.3D (must be a model) 2.Must be 100% recycled materials (can’t buy anything), find items around your house, BE CREATIVE!!! 3.NEAT 4.Document explaining all accommodations. 5. Group answer of final question. This will be given to each group on due date.

Leaving Earth: How you will overcoming gravity and slingshot effect? Traveling, Living and Working in Space: How you will keep a Healthy Body? (Exercise, bone density, sleeping, hygiene, health) Effects of Microgravity on the Body: Identify how being weightless, long- term effects on muscles and bones? How solve the problem? Pressure, Temperature, and Atmosphere Changes: Find out how they will be provided: air supply, temperature, pressure, and radiation protection, maneuverability? Space Food: challenges in preparing and eating, taste, Waste Management: toilet, showers, garbage disposal, recycling center etc. Spacecraft or Mars’s Station: Areas needed to supply your necessities and working areas. Accommodations that you need to address in the Space

Final Product Mission to Mars All models must include the following. Each is worth up to 10 points. 3D (must be a model) Must be 100% recycled materials (can’t buy anything), find items around your house, BE CREATIVE!!! NEAT Protect from radiation Food Sources Waste Removal Hygiene Healthy Body (Exercise, bone density, sleeping…) Document explaining all accommodations Group answer of final question. This will be given to each group on due date.
