Aim of the Study Investigating the current level of ICT usage in Jazan University Design and Implement CPD Programme for University Teachers based on VLE Design to Improve their Ability to Use ICT in Teaching. Test the Efficacy of VLE to Improve ICT Skills and Usage Explore the Effect of VLE on the University Teachers’ Knowledge, Understanding, Attitudes, Skills and Use of ICT. Bring Better Understanding of the ICT Issues.

Problem of the Study Most university teachers not using ICT in teaching. They offer their course’s materials through traditional methods. because of this the researcher decided to use a VLE design course called Moodle as a training programme to increase their ICT capabilities and orient them to the benefits of utilizing ICT in their teaching.

Significant of the Study Deal with the imaginary and real concerns Get a better understanding of the current situation of ICT usage Investigate the university teachers’ usage, skills, attitudes, knowledge and understanding of ICT. The researcher hopes to make a positive effect on the university teacher’s usage, skills, attitudes, knowledge and understanding to ICT in Jazan University, making them more receptive towards ICT. The study will address the concerns and make recommendations for both university teachers and policy makers.

Research Questions What is the current level of ICT usage by university teachers in Jazan University? Can a VLE affect the use of ICT in teaching by university teachers in Jazan University to support their teaching? What is the effect of the VLE based programme on university teachers’ knowledge of ICT at Jazan University? What is the effect of the VLE based programme on university teachers’ attitudes toward ICT usage at Jazan University? What is the effect of the VLE based programme on university teachers’ ICT skill at Jazan University?

Methodology Case Study Type: (Exploratory Case Study)

Community for the Case Study All University Teachers in Jazan University. They total 374. This is the population from which the respondents of the case will be drawn from.

Sample Group Fourty University Teachers from Jazan University. Random selection from the total of 374, from all departments in the University.

Commentary of the Research Design Researcher will Train the University Teachers in Jazan University about ICT Training course will be deliver to them by VLE (Moodle) Learning will be conducting for six weeks After the six weeks are over, the effects of the VLE program on the teachers’ knowledge, understanding, attitudes, skills and usage as far as ICT is concerned will be measured. This is through questionnaires, interviews, and reports from the VLE program.
