He was taken to a CCS [Casualty Clearing Station] and there operated on. Removal of FB [Foreign Body – shrapnel] and primary suture [stitches]. Next day he was sent to England to 2 NGH [Northern General Hospital]. Here he has had a re- amp [re-amputation] done.
