The Short Tailed Albatross By: Martine

Habitat and Range Its habitat is rocky islands near Alaska The albatross will only breed on an island called Tori Shima near Japan. The albatross is in the air most of the summer and spring. During the fall and the winter they are breeding. The range is the North Pacific.

Facts The Short-Tailed Albatross is one of the rarest birds on the planet. Its wing span can reach 7 feet. It can fly 500 miles or more in one day and can sleep while in flight.
