KAYLYNN PRIDAY RIME OF ANCIENT MARINER

SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE Samuel Taylor Coleridge was born on October 21, 1772 in Devon, England. Coleridge was a founder of the English Romantic Movement. His best works are "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and "Kubla Khan“.

ALBATROSS There are 21 different species of Albatross found across the southern seas. The Albatross has excellent eyesight. The Albatross feeds on Fish, Squid, Krill, Crabs and other Crustaceans.

ICEBERG The average drift speed is around 0.7 km/h, although speeds greater than 3.6 km/h have been recorded. Most icebergs are10,000 years old. In the Northern Hemisphere, the largest iceberg on record was encountered in 1882 near Baffin Island. It was 13 km long, 6 km wide, and was about 20 m above water.

THE EQUATOR The equator is just under 25,000 miles long. The equator does not have a set width and its position drifts for about 49 feet during a whole year. The equator crosses the lands of 14 countries in the world.
