Jesus becomes like Adam to marry the bride, a renewed Eve. God commits to become a man as Jesus, taking on dust like Adam. He takes our pain on Himself using His flesh to absorb violence and sin. We are now of His flesh as His bride, we are given communion for this and He is delighted (“the city of God’s delight”).
