WWII Alliances

Non-belligerent Country refuses to fight on someone’s side during the conflict. May not be completely neutral.

Collaborationism Come together and help that side A.Actually fight along side them B.Give them supplies, weapons, food C.Passive: do nothing. Accept that they have been conquered and go on with their way of life.

Co-belligerent Comes in and fights during the conflict without having any formal agreement. Want something out of it in the event they win. Example: Finland helped Germans fight against Soviets because they hoped to gain independence from the Soviet Union.

Puppet State An outside country has put a government in place and that outside country directs the affairs in that country. Example: WWII- Germany made Hungary a puppet state. Today: US and Iraq?
