Asia Asia is the worlds largest and most populous continent. (biggest and has most people) Asia has a population of 3.9 Billion people. The 2 most populous countries are China and India.

China China is the largest country in the world with a population of over 1.3 billion people.

India India is the 2nd largest country in the world with a population of over 1 billion people in the world.

Himalayan Mountains They are a central Asian mountain range that contains the worlds Highest peaks. They were created by India slamming into Asia. The famous mountains Mt. Everest and K2 are located here

Mt. Everest Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain in the world. It has an elevation of over 29,035 ft tall. (Same heights as airplanes fly) It is growing at about 3 to 30 millimeters a year.

Ganges River Is a river in India that starts in the Himalayas and flows 1557 miles into the Indian Ocean. Considered by most Hindus to be the most holy river in India. Hindus believe that bathing in the river is spiritual Provides water for almost 1 million people.

Spiritual Properties of the Ganges Hindus believe that bathing in the river at certain times can get you forgiven for sins, and attain salvation. Hindus try to bathe in this river once in their lifetime. Many religious holidays are celebrated on the Ganges.

Indus River River starting in the Himalayas, going through India and Pakistan ending into the Arabian Sea. Provides most of Pakistan with drinking water.

Huang He AKA the Yellow River flows across china 3,398 miles and empties into the Pacific Ocean. River has a yellowish tint from the loess that goes into the river. Chinese call the river the cradle of their civilization.

Yangtze River Yangtze Flows 3915 miles and is the only river in China that is deep enough for ships to travel. More then 400 million people live along the banks of the Yangtze.

Yangzi, 3 Gorges Dam

Yangtze and the 3 gorges Dam The Chinese created a large dam on the Yangtze. The dam flooded a large area and displaced a about 1.2 million people. Also many precious artifacts were destroyed because of the dam.

Gobi Desert Is the large desert in Asia, and is located in China and southern Mongolia. Has wide temperature extremes. Temps can range from -45 degrees to 100 degrees

Arabian Desert Large desert that covers most of the Arabian Peninsula. 900,000  square mi

Tigris and the Euphrates Goes though the country of Iraq. Modern Civilization originated there.
