Background on Nepal  Nepal is a small country located between India and China  Nepal is home to Mt. Everest  Nepal has a population of approximately 27 million people  Nepal is a geographically diverse country containing mountains, forests and grasslands  Nepal is a country with two seasons the wet and the dry season

Government and Geography of Nepal  The president of Nepal Is Aditya Raj Upadhyaya  The Nepalese government is set up on Federal Democratic republic system  Three main land regions  Terai (plains)  Hill regions  Mountain Region

Export Idea  Nepal is a country that has a developing agricultural industry  One of the biggest challenges Nepalese livestock farmers face is making quality forage throughout the entire year  This issue could be solved by storing forage from the wet season for use in the dry season  This is why Canada should export Ag baggers and Ag Silage film to Nepal

Transportation  The Ag- Bag machine could be shipped from the Ag-Bag manufacturing plant in Wisconsin directly to Nepal  The plastic wrap could be exported by the company Canadian Hay and silage limited which is based in Alberta and already distributes products to Asia

Canadian Companies  The company Canadian Hay and Silage ltd could export the Ag silage film from their headquarters in Alberta  The company Ag bag could export the actual machine used for storing the forage which will be shared between farmers in a community  Both of these companies already export products overseas so exporting to Nepal would not be difficult

Benefits to Canada  Canada would benefit from exporting products from these companies  By creating jobs  Increasing Revenue  Improving trade relations with Nepal  Increasing the possibility of other agricultural exports to Nepal in the future

Benefits to Nepal  Nepal will benefit from this trade deal by  Improving feed quality and increasing yield from animals  Nepal will also be able modernize their agricultural industry by adapting new technologies  Nepalese farmers will be able to store feed more efficently and saving labour

Conclusions  Nepal is a developing country with a promising agricultural industry that could easily adapt modern technologies to improve efficiency and yield  This trade deal could potentially improve trade relations between Canada and Nepal and could increase exports to Nepal from Canada  This trade deal will benefit both Canada and Nepal by increasing profits and improving the lives of both Canadians and Nepalese people
