Victoria, May Breakout Session III Proposed approach Conceptual/analysis model first –Decide what we want to model –Model this problem domain in some, but not every detail –No consideration of implementation or efficiency –Start with listing of concepts ala Semantics standard vocabulary (use those results) Create logical model that has details filled in and is targeted to the actual problem area. All in UML ! Create bindings to relevant languages –XML schema –Java, C#, … –Relational model (for ADQL)
