Museum Final

World Studies Final World History Museum Connect three units from this year with one overarching theme Written: 4 paragraphs- 1 intro, 3 body (one per unit) Product: 1 museum model- must fit on a desk, see examples) Presentation- Explain your thesis to celebrity judges on the day of the final Work alone or in a group of 2 or 3.

Final Dates to remember: May 22- After monument presentations May 26- after Poverty Presentations May 29 June 1/2- block period, with laptops Vocabulary Post Test- same day as final, before Museum Presentations.

Get with you Museum Project Partners Get out your notebooks and class work, and get a text book. Get out your final assignment sheet. Look over these documents and start putting together some prompts. Remember, a prompts needs a directive word from column one and a vocab word from column two to be complete. Write as many of these as you can think of, then choose your TOP 3.

Some sample prompts Describe people’s fight for political, social and economic equality using examples from revolutions, economic development and imperialism. Explain the role technology and inventions has played in history using examples from cultural diffusion, economic development, imperialism or conflict. Get your thesis out from yesterday… What do you need to talk about? Thesis: Human rights have been violated throughout history by governments trying to gain power. This is especially true of France during the French Revolution, in India during Imperialism and in Nazi Germany. Figure out the specific human rights being violated. How did these help Governments Gain Power? Find examples in French Revolution Find examples in India under English Domination Find examples in Nazi Germany Write your thesis out on a new sheet of paper and brainstorm all the things you will need to find to answer it.

What to Bring on the Day of the Final… Your Text Book- To turn in to the Book Keeper. Your Final Museum Model- Please put your name on the parts you did. Notes on a piece of paper or 3X5 cards of what you will say during your presentation

What to do tonight… Finish building your Museum. Prepare your presentation. Who will say what to the Celebrity Judges? Practice your presentation. You will only get to practice once before the judges arrive. Keep your presentation between 3 and 5 minutes. Needs 4 additional items: Pictures, maps, cartoons, objects, quotes, graphs, charts etc. more than one of each is OK. Each additional item needs a label to say what it is and how it helps prove/support your thesis
