Our aim is for one third of England to walk more –an extra 3000 steps a day five days a week –by the Olympics; the NHS has 3 contributions to make: 1.The NHS Staff Walking Challenge; for a third of NHS staff in sedentary jobs to accept the challenge to walk more by Walk4Life: for the NHS to promote walking as the easiest, safest preventative activity for tens of millions of people 3.The NHS Walking Therapy Programme; for the NHS to ensure that ALL people with chronic health problems receive the advise and support from NHS clinicians to start walking more Contact
