PHOBOS DATA FLOW (1) THE WIRES RHIC fec dmu mercury system event builder event buffer online data logger rcf slow control oracle db with disk TOF & Trigger Silicon VME HV...

Comments on data flow mercury system will have an ethernet connection to the DAQ Sun only. The calibration processes (during calibration runs) will run on the DAQ Sun. This task has been removed from the online computers. The calibration constants will be loaded from the DAQ Sun into the mercury system at the beginning of each run. They will be written back and this data go into the data flow. They (or a header with a pointer to it) will be stored in the db. The pedestal values will be treated as the calibration constants. All the time when the Silicons are powered, fec, dmu, mercury system and the event builder have to run as well, to control temperature and voltages. The data flow to/from the slow control system may change. During the discussions that lead to these displays nobody of the slow control was present.
